Andre Donowa

We have a new winner in the long-distance customer category! Andre, a violinist with The Alternative Quartet, flew here all the way from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to check out our extensive selection of electric violins!

He came down to the shop for a couple of hours right after he got off the plane, narrowed down his options a bit, then came back the next morning and spent another four or five hours finalizing his choices. We had a great time talking with Andre, listening to him play, and helping him find exactly the right equipment for the sounds he wanted.

He left on Wednesday, with two Yamaha SV-200 electric violins (one black and one red), a couple of Roland AC-60 amps, two Zoom G2.1U effects processors, and three of the EVS-modified Kremona pickups with 1/4" Carpenter jacks.

With his new kit, Andre's prepared for anything, whether it's warm acoustic tone from the Kremonas on an acoustic instrument, or the wildest effects he can imagine, running the solid-body Yamahas through the Zoom pedals! It was wonderful working with Andre, and we look forward to hearing where this newest leg of his musical odyssey takes him.
