Yamaha SV-200 Silent Violin, Brown
|
Yamaha's SV-200 has the most warm, rich and naturally acoustic-sounding tone of any of their instruments. Two pickup elements beneath the bridge give a strong output. The bridge itself is a regular Aubert #5 violin bridge -- we shape it to a standard violin curvature during our free shop set up, but if you prefer a different action, you can have your luthier match its curvature exactly to that of your acoustic violin! This instrument is brown, with an unfinished neck that has a "fade"of brown below the scroll and where the neck meets the body. The SV-200 has all of the standard reference points of your acoustic violin, and one of the nicest-shaped necks of any electric on the market. This makes it feel like "home"to classically-trained players. The Yamaha SV-200 will also take your regular shoulder rest, and you can even swap out the chin rest, if you prefer a different model. The SV-200 has a headphone jack for "silent" practice. The built-in preamp can be set for a hotter, more "electric" sound or a more acoustic tone, depending on your preference. Its covered by Yamaha's five-year limited warranty. Headphone jack for silent practice. Compare the pros and cons of Yamaha's distinct product lines for violinists on our Yamaha Violin Showdown page.
