Yamaha Electric Violin, EV-204K
|
The first truly stage-worthy electric Yamaha violin! Separate piezo bridge pickups for each string and an improved preamp powered by a nine volt battery give a much stronger signal and truer tone than the SV-120. Inside the battery compartment is a volume knob for each string. This allows you to set the volume of each string individually -- you can turn down the E string if it is bothering you! Another knob lets you raise or lower the output of the preamp. Combined with the volume control on the tailpiece, you can finely tailor your output to get the best sound from your amplifier. A unique feature of the Yamaha EV204 is the ability to bypass the preamp and all its settings. This is handy if your battery should die in the middle of a performance (which has happened to me!) you just slide a switch, and you keep on playing! Colors: Amber is a traditional translucent violin color, showing the grain of the wood. Red is a pearlescent (not fire engine) red, still somewhat translucent. Blue is a harlequin color-change paint (not showing the wood grain). It shifts from deep blue to a shimmering dark purple as your angle to the violin changes -- subtle but fun! weight 1 pound, 9 ounces List price $1750 Now comes with a 5 year instrument warranty!
