We're always adding new Vipers to our collection, and this is one of our new favorites. A Raspberry Burst transparent five-string fretless model, the finish is a magenta/purple color, lighter in the center and darkening towards the edges. It's a pretty fiddle, striking in appearance but less expensive than the exotic top models we often offer.
This Viper is equipped with the Barbera Twin Hybrid bridge, the most technologically advanced transducer system available. There are two twin-element pickups per bridge, which send a stereoscopic image of the string's vibration out to your amp or PA.
What does that mean in plain English? A strong, focused output signal very rich and full. Great for all types of music, but especially well-suited for jazz and rock styles, this bridge works better with effects processors than just about anything else on the market.
This is a five-string fretless model, perfect for more traditional players who aren't quite ready to go all the way to a fretted instrument, but would like to add a little more bottom end to their range. The chest support system is a stroke of genius -- you don't have to give even the tiniest bit of thought to holding up the instrument, so it frees you up to think only about the music.
