"I'm more satisfied with this amp than with any other purchase I've ever made - toothbrush, violin, car - this is the best decision ever!"
--jazz violinist Marcus Moore on his Acoustic Image Corus III purchased from EVS
Acoustic Image amps are small (about 19 pounds), powerful (up to 800 watts), impeccably clean sounding, and made here in North Carolina. The unique design of the Acoustic Image amplifiers allows for remarkable compactness and the downfiring woofer provides omnidirectional bass dispersion with the midrange and tweeter firing forward. Although designed for upright bass, Acoustic Image amps produce remarkable fidelity for all instruments.
Acoutic Image amps come in four models. The Acoustic Image Contra is a one-channel model with no effects. The Acoustic Image Coda and Corus are each two channel amps with digital reverb, delay, flange and chorus. The Coda is designed for upright bass, and has a polypropylene driver, for better low bass response. Their Corus has a paper cone, so it presents as a little louder and more forward-sounding, but the bass roll-off at 60hz is a little higher than the Coda and Contra. The Acoustic Image Coda and Corus are available in 400 watt versions or as the Coda+ and Corus+ with the same two-channel feature set in a removeable 800 watt(!) head. The Acoustic Image Ten2 has two 10-inch speakers (one-downfiring, one forward-facing) and a tweeter and features the removeable 800 watt head as well.
