Many top gigging professionals use L.R. Baggs piezo bridges to amplify their acoustic violins. Following one of the more common solutions for designs of this type, the piezoelectric crystal is embedded in a Superieur Despiau violin bridge blank. This produces strong, natural tone, that can be a bit bright, but doesn't overly color your instrument's sound. If it's paired with the wrong amplifier, a Baggs bridge can sometimes be a bit harsh on the high end, but this can be alleviated with a good preamp, such as their own Para Acoustic D.I.
This model is unterminated, allowing attachment to the output jack of your choice. Heavy-duty braided cable from the pickup should be very durable over time.
Please note that this bridge requires fitting to the instrument by a qualified luthier.
