Zeta Jazz Fusion 5-string Octave electric violin, Gloss White
Out of stock
If a regular 5-string just doesn't go low enough for you, this new 5-string Octave violin from ZETA is actually a chin cello. Equipped with ZETA's C-Octave preamp, their Jazz bridge, and the Sensicore Octave 5-string violin set, this Jazz Fusion has a rich, smooth amplified sound, and accurately reproduces the pitches of a 5-string cello. The Jazz Fusion Octave 5-string is MIDI-capable, and will work with Roland's GR-55 when used with ZETA's 8-pin to 13-pin adapter cable.
Get Bach to Bass-ics, with this ZETA Jazz Fusion 5-string Octave electric violin. Combining the Sensicore Octave violin strings with smooth, rich sound of ZETA's Jazz bridge and their special C-Octave preamp, which is voiced for the lower register, this is as close to a five-string cello as a violinist can get, without taking up another instrument. Paired with a CodaBow Joule extended-range violin bow, you get a quick, responsive feel and convincing cello tone -- far better than what you'd get from any pitch-shifting or octave effects pedals. The Jazz Fusion Octave 5-string is also MIDI-capable, and will work with Roland's GR-55 when used with ZETA's 8-pin to 13-pin adapter cable. The ZETA Fusion is a semi-hollow construction of lightweight mahogany. Instead of a traditional tailpiece, it has a fixed attachment point for the strings that preserves the proper angle of strings across the bridge. There are no upper bouts, so fast shifts up and down the neck do not require the left hand to come around the upper part of the body. This can really increase up your improvisational freedom. For those who want that physical cue, a metal rod comes with the instrument that can be installed in the body to emulate the rib of the violin.? The Jazz Bridge has 2 sensors per string, and is much thicker than ZETA’s other bridges. It is height adjustable with a tiny allen wrench. There are two directional piezo pickups per string, perpendicular to each other. They read the movement of the string at 90 degree angles, effectively canceling out unwanted harmonics and bow noise. Each paired pickup signal is divided and run to separate internal gain controls so that the string level can be balanced for analog uses, while allowing the output to be separated cleanly for MIDI applications. The Jazz bridge delivers a clean, electric violin tone that is favored by artists world-wide. The overall sound of the Jazz bridge is full and satisfying, and it transmits less bow change sound than then almost any other piezo transducer system. This is also the first of our Jazz Fusions equipped with the new "1992 JLP Jazz Reissue" preamp. Going forward, this will be the standard preamp on all Jazz Fusions. Its output is noticeably stronger than the previous version. The 1992 JLP Jazz Reissue preamp also has a crisper tone which cuts through a little more than the old preamp, which has a mellower sound.
